“That jumpsuit you’re wearing looks stupid. That’s not me talking, it’s right here in your file. On other people it looks fine, but right here a scientist has noted that on you it looks stupid. Well, what does a neck-bearded old engineer know about fashion? He probably- Oh, wait, it’s a she. Still, what does she know? Oh wait, it says she has a medical degree. In fashion! From France.”—GLaDOS, Portal 2 (via itsmyfoxhat)
Guess hollywood is trying to grab the rights to make a Dead Island films based around the hype of the first trailer. You know… The one with the backwards chronological order-ness and the dead girl and it made you cry. A lot.
I understand why people are uneasy about the new “The Thing” movie, but though I wholeheartily sympathize with your fears, the film looks pretty good and from what i’ve heard, the filmakers seem to have tried as much as possible to capture the paranoia in the 1982 movie.
“I know I’m human. And if you were all these things, then you’d just attack me right now, so some of you are still human. This thing doesn’t want to show itself, it wants to hide inside an imitation. It’ll fight if it has to, but it’s vulnerable out in the open. If it takes us over, then it has no more enemies, nobody left to kill it. And then it’s won”—MacReady in “The Thing” 1982 (via shakeyseatenalive)
